The day has finally come, despite it’s horrific price, that we recognize that superheroes already walk this earth. It’s time they received their due. Thank you to the medical workers, from janitors to surgeons, scientists, nurses, lab staff and more. Here’s to the next line we hope Funko embraces: grocery and retail workers. Delivery drivers, pharmacy personnel, fast food workers, utility staff….all of our essential workers that have literally kept us alive. Blue collar now means something completely different. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage on, Funko will celebrate frontline workers by teaming up with GlobalGiving for its new Pop! Heroes line.

Each figure highlights the men and women in the medical field risking their lives every day to save others. Aside from highlighting both sexes, the set includes medical professionals across different races and ethnicities, representing the impact of the pandemic across all spectrums.
Funko and GlobalGiving teamed up with Hot Topic and BoxLunch to sell the figures, with all proceeds going to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. The charity organization is currently helping 300 organizations in 76 countries provide quality personal protective equipment, sanitation and meals during the pandemic.
The Pop! Heroes figurines have not been given a release date, though Funko’s website assures they will be available soon. Right now, the figurines are available for pre-order through Hot Topic, BoxLunch, Amazon and Entertainment Earth.
