In honor of the first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Funko has made a set of Pop! Heroes to commemorate the hospital workers who are giving their all to help treat patients. In association with this collection, Funko has made a donation to GlobalGiving, the first and largest global crowdfunding community that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country around the world. GlobalGiving makes it possible for local organizations to access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to become more effective at making our world a better place. In a press release dated May 22, 2020 Funko aanounced, \u201d In honor of the first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Funko is excited to announce the new line of Pop! In association with this collection, Funko has made a donation to GlobalGiving, a 501c non-profit organization based in the United States that provides a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charitable projects. It is the first and largest global crowdfunding community that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGlobalGiving makes it possible for local organizations to access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to become more effective at making our world a better place. As the COVID-19<\/a> pandemic continues to rage on, Funko will celebrate frontline workers by teaming up with GlobalGiving for its new Pop!<\/a> Heroes line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In honor of the first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Funko is excited to announce the new line of Pop! Heroes to commemorate the nurses and doctors who are giving their all to help treat patients,” the pop-culture company said on its official site<\/a>. “In association with this collection, Funko has made a donation to GlobalGiving, a 501c nonprofit organization based in the United States that provides a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charitable projects. Each figure highlights the men and women in the medical field risking their lives every day to save others. Aside from highlighting both sexes, the set includes medical professionals across different races and ethnicities, representing the impact of the pandemic across all spectrums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funko and GlobalGiving teamed up with Hot Topic and BoxLunch to sell the figures, with all proceeds going to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. The charity organization is currently helping 300 organizations in 76 countries provide quality personal protective equipment, sanitation and meals during the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pop! Heroes figurines have not been given a release date, though Funko’s website assures they will be available soon. Right now, the figurines are available for pre-order through Hot Topic<\/a>, BoxLunch<\/a>, Amazon<\/a> and Entertainment Earth<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
